Selvedge is the end of a weave of fabric. It utilizes a “self-finished” edge which keeps it from unraveling and does not require additional finishing work. The production process for selvedge denim material takes longer and requires different machinery and skills, often relying on vintage weaving looms to create the high-quality finished edge.
